Batting game
Read the pitch
You're behind the plate. A random pitch is coming: a knuckleball that could dance anywhere, or a fastball, slider, curve… There's no tracer. Click where it will cross the plate. The swing starts when you click and the bat takes about a tenth of a second (game time) to get there, so time it. On time (within 20 ms) and within 1.5 in of your click is a barrel, within about 4 in solid contact, elsewhere on the bat weak contact; 20–40 ms off is a foul, and more than that you miss. Lay off pitches outside the zone: a taken ball scores points and doesn't count, so you get an extra pitch. A home run is worth 30% more.
